I was so happy for one of my good friends, Ali, to be featured on this blog! Her story is incredible. I remember sitting down with her about 3 years ago and she told me she started her own business selling skincare. I told her, “Good luck! I will buy some eye cream from you.” I was not sure at all what she was planning or where she was going to take this business. All I knew was that she was a smart business woman that was already making a 6 figure income with her bank job. Why on earth did she need the extra money? And how did she have time? She had a newborn and husband and a home to manage. She had a full plate already!
Well, in a year, I watched her find great success and recruit 3 of our very good friends to join her. I sat back and asked myself, “What the heck am I missing here???!!!” After a year of being too chicken to do this business myself, I joined. Ali has since retired her 6 figure income job, makes more than that now, drives a free Lexus, stays at home with her young girls, and works her business around her busy family schedule – on her own time! And she is teaching me to follow in her footsteps. I am forever grateful for her in my life, not only as a friend, but as a mentor and business partner. She sure is living the dream!
