Sara, this is beautiful. So touching and thoughtful. I am so glad Mason resembles your dad in so many ways.. how nice it can often be to have a daily reminder that he’s always with you. Thank you so much for your vulnerability and transparency with sharing this!

Danielle – it’s like this post is speaking to me! Thank you SO much for sharing. I am on my own journey of finding happiness, leaving my ‘safe’ life in the past and leaping into the future feeling more Freedom than ever before. Thank you for this piece, it is exactly what I needed to hear as I drive across the country right now to move. Funny how…[Read more]

Jill, I was so thrilled to wake up to your comment this morning. It’s feedback like this that is universe speaking to me! You’ve inspired me to dive deeper into the subject of manifestation. I write about the other topics here (freedom, happiness) a lot on my blog.
But hearing from you, I know it’s my next big piece. I won’t wish you good…[Read more]

2014 was ending and I was 7 months deep into post college graduation blues. Since turning the tassel, I was traveling on the weekends, working full-time as an Industrial Engineer during the week, and embracing the […]

My alarm goes off and the sun is barely up. The voice in my head tells me it is OK to hit snooze or turn the alarm off and sleep in today. I tell myself it is not a big deal to push my work out to the evening. But […]

You’re so right, Jill! It’s SO much easier to hit snooze in the morning, but doing little things like preparing your pre-workout and having it on your night stand makes getting out of bed a bit more manageable. I also love how you say your workout time out is the “only time you have to yourself” … I couldn’t agree more! Great story, looking…[Read more]

I absolutely loved reading this Sara, especially seeing as I have gone back and forth with the thought of going back to school to get my Masters in Education so I can teach. I also appreciate that you’re talking from your experience as a teacher. I am not a parent and therefore have never really formed an opinion on homeschooling, BUT I will say…[Read more]

Jill – I really love the points you make here. I 100% agree with you that the social aspect of school is a HUGE component! I think pointing this out is really important. Out of the 1,000+ students I taught over the years, there were definitely a few who my heart went out to because somehow, I could just tell, it wasn’t the right environment for…[Read more]

You hit a soft spot with your husky and I could not agree more with you, @ahazy19! My family had pets growing up and I ALWAYS wanted a husky but their response was always the same: “You don’t understand how much work huskies are.” So as my senior year of college was slowing down and I was finally getting into a routine that didn’t include late…[Read more]
