This past Friday was a huge day. In case you’ve been without any sort of contact to the outside world, on June 25, 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that the constitution guarantees a right to same-sex marriage.

I was around 10 when I learned that when it comes to family, bloodlines don’t mean everything, and in some cases, it doesn’t mean ANYTHING.
According to the dictionary, “Family” can be defined as:

I know I’m not the only person who has been guilty of allowing Facebook to completely distract me from family time, work, or other things.
It’s pretty easy to allow that to happen. You’re in the middle of […]

I don’t know why, but ever since college I can only write with pens and not pencils. This wouldn’t be a huge issue if I didn’t have internal freak outs every time I notice that something that I wrote is off […]

@sammyrose130, I’ve used Origami Owl necklaces as gifts for my Thirty-One team in the past and also bought my mother and grandmother ones for Christmas this past year. They all love them. It can definitely be overwhelming when you log into their website and see all of the choices, but if you’d like to connect with a consultant I have a few friends…[Read more]

@heather I absolutely love this statement about goal setting from your WIRL…”If it doesn’t scare you, it’s not big enough”. That’s great advice! I think it’s hard to set goals, especially when you are reaching for something that feels new and outside of your comfort zone. Recently, I set a goal to be more positive and I set up ways to measure my…[Read more]

Great post, Kassidy! I think we ALL get to that point where we just want to hide in a corner for a day or two. “Me time” is so important to help keep yourself sane! Just driving alone for a few hours helps me clear my head and calm me down.

This was done so beautifully, Heather. So many people just blast their feelings on social media without any story or thoughts to back them up. You really pulled me in and I understand how you feel about same-sex marriage in a non-threatening or defensive way. Thank you for being so open about this subject and providing others with some personal…[Read more]
